Karrueche Tran tweets about Chris Brown

Brown opens up about his love life in new video

Karrueche Tran and Chris Brown may have broken up on Thursday, but Brown has revealed that he is struggling while having feelings for both the model and Rihanna. The video, called The Real Chris Brown, has Brown opening up to fans about his love triangle.

Karrueche Tran responded to the video, tweeting “Wtf is going on?” Tran, taken aback by the video that describes Brown’s musings about his love life, “All I’m saying is.. You don’t mess with people’s genuine feelings. You just don’t!”

Chris Brown’s relationships with both model Karrueche Tran and singer Rihanna have him asking the question, “Is there such a thing as loving two people? I don’t know if that’s possible. But for me, I feel like that.”

In a video shot with a gritty, dark feel, Brown alludes to his relationships with the two beautiful women, speaking of how such a triangle could happen. “When you share history with somebody, then you ten to fall in love with somebody else; it’s kind of difficult,” said Brown in the video.

This video came to life on the internet after Chris Brown broke up with Karrueche Tran after rumors of his reconciliation with Rihanna started to get focus in the media. Photos of Rihanna and Brown kissing and groping have been posted on various gossip sites.

Star Jones gets slammed by Anderson Cooper

Cooper fires back after Jones accused him of coming out to boost ratings

Star Jones recently criticized Anderson Cooper on The View, alleging that he only came out as homosexual to boost the ratings of his talk show. Cooper responded to her accusations in a segment on Anderson Cooper Live, calling her out for lying about her gastric-bypass surgery and manipulating her time on The View to get wedding attention.

Joined by Bravo‘s Andy Cohen, Cooper discussed his recent coming out to public, as well as his hostile feelings toward Star Jones. Although pleased with the positive response of those in Hollywood, the media and his fans to his coming out as gay, Star Jones’ accusations seem to have gotten under his skin.

“I was really pleased with the response; it’s nice to send a message to young people. I will say, and I actually haven’t mentioned this, the only thing that did kind of annoy me and actually it annoyed my mom who brought it up to me: Star Jones, of all people said this was a ratings ploy by me to boost ratings,” said Cooper.

The reason for Anderson Cooper’s response to Star Jones’ comment are that, in his eyes, his coming out had all the ingredients not to be about boosting ratings. “You were off the air,” said Cohen. Cooper stated that if he wanted to boost ratings, he would have devoted an episode of his talk show to the reveal of his sexuality.

“That would have been promo’d for weeks and weeks and there would have been commercials, ‘Anderson’s huge announcement,’ and you would have a cut-away of the audience, but instead I was in Africa on assignment for 60 Minutes. I sent an e-mail to a friend of mine who put it on a website. I gave no interviews about it, I never talked about it,” responded Cooper.

After getting riled up, Cooper then put in a few shots of his own about the The View host, insinuating that Star Jones had done her own publicity stunts to boost ratings. This includes “hocking her wedding” every show in order to get free products and lying about her gastric bypass surgery, which he implied were to give Jones attention as she is becoming less relevant: “And my mom was like, ‘Who is Star Jones,’” said Cooper.

Despite Cooper’s rage against the TV personality, Star Jones is holding her ground when it comes to their feud. As a rebuttal, Jones tweeted at Anderson Cooper, once again stirring the pot: “I was wrong. @andersoncooper didn’t come out as a ratings ploy. He used ME talking about him coming out @todayshow as a ratings ploy. #mybad”

Justin Bieber throws up on stage

Beibs spews on stage in Arizona

Justin Bieber throws up on stage during a performance in Arizona, and the aftermath is a slew of viral videos of the singer getting sick and everyone avoiding the mess. On the first stop of many in his Believe tour, the singer vomited during the first song of the night, Out of Town Girl

In the video captured by many and shared on YouTube, in the middle of his performance suddenly Justin Bieber throws up on stage, hands on his knees and turned away from the spectators at the Glendale, Ariz. arena. After the initial vomit, Bieber ran backstage where he saw medical attention.

Once he returned to his awaiting fans, he performed Never Say Never and the beginning of Beauty and the Beat before again exiting the stage. Luckily for his collaborator on Beauty and the Beat, Nicki Minaj, that song was performered through previously-taped footage.

After this second incident, Justin Bieber was able to finish out the show with an encore. The singer even asked for the audience’s sympathy, “It’s hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people. Will you love me even though I’m throwing up on stage?”

Despite videos titled Justin Bieber throws up on stage, Beliebers still swoon over the 18-year-old pop star, and yes they still love him. Fans can catch Bieber during his 45-city Believe tour, which continued Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Chelsea Handler bashes 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

The TV personality and author thinks the series it’s trash

Chelsea Handler was quoted in a recent interview on Piers Morgan Tonight bashing the phenomenon that is Fifty Shades of Grey. The author and TV personality is coming out with her own book, Fifty Shades of Chartreuse: This Time It’s Personal, the last part possibly receiving a hashtag.

Although Chelsea Handler is known for her candid and unfiltered nature, the author doesn’t get what the big deal is with the erotic trilogy and soon to be movie franchise. In fact, despite her vocal nature, Handler told Piers that he would be surprised to know she is not as liberal in her sexuality. “I’m actually fairly conservative when it comes to sexual escapades,” said Handler.

In the interview, she said she tried to get through E.L. James book, but failed to only read the first seven chapters. An author herself, Chelsea Handler said although her books are not “scholarly,” she does attempt to be amuse her readers. In her opinion, the Fifty Shades trilogy is so poorly written that “it was insulting to anyone’s intelligence” to read them. “It’s a piece of trash,” added Handler.

So why name her new book as a change to the title of the book she despises?

“It’s not a take-off on Fifty Shades of Grey, I just wanted to rip off the title because I just thought it was such a stupid book,” said Chelsea Handler.

Chelsea Handler appears weeknights on E! during her late night talk show, Chelsea Lately.

Presidential debate 2012: a game changer?

President Obama and Governor Romney gear up for Wednesday’s debate

Presidential debate 2012 is the event of the race to the White House, and both President Barack Obama and Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are preparing for the night that could change everything.

With the presidential debate taking place Oct. 3 in Denver, both candidates are talking to their best advisors and preparing the talking points they need to make in the days before the big face-off. President Obama is in Nevada at a desert resort with his top advisors putting together his strategy against Romney’s arguments, according to the Associated Press.

During a rally in Las Vegas Sept. 30, Obama told supporters that his points would be towards giving American’s hope for their future. “What I’m most concerned about is having a serious discussion about what we need to do to keep the country growing and restore security to hardworking Americans,” Obama said of his plan for the presidential debate.

Romney, who is preparing for the presidential debate that could change the course of the election he is currently behind in, planned to go back to Massachusetts to work with his debate team over the weekend. Romney is trailing Obama in the polls after several setbacks including the leaked tape where he was heard saying it is not his job to worry about the 47 percent of voters who did not pay federal income tax, and in his words, rely on Obama to not take responsibility of themselves.

The first presidential debate is five weeks before Election Day, and the three debates that will occur in October will be Romney’s opportunity to take away from Obama’s lead. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie recently appeared on CBS’ Face the Nation and predicted this is Romney’s opportunity to change the polls immensely.

“This whole race is going to be turned upside down come Thursday morning,” said Christie

The presidential debate between President Obama and Governor Romney on domestic issues will air Wednesday, Oct. 3 on major news stations nationwide.

Gay cure therapy banned in California

California is the first state to ban the psychotherapy

Gay cure therapy for minors is officially banned in California, making it the first state in the U.S. to rid itself of the controversial form of psychotherapy.

Gay rights groups have deemed the gay cure therapy, which will no longer be dosed to young people who identify as gay or lesbian, emotionally harmful. The form of psychotherapy is used to help those individuals “overcome” homosexuality, and often results in other mental health issues.

“This bill bans nonscientific ‘therapies’ that have driven young people to depression and suicide. These practices have no basis in science or medicine, and they will now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery,” Gov. Jerry Brown said in a statement after he signed the bill against gay cure therapy into law Sept. 29.

Democratic Senator Ted Lieu of Torrance sponsored the bill, SB1172, according to CBS News. This law, which prevents children from the psychological abuse that can come with receiving gay cure therapy, will become effective Jan. 1, 2013.

The negative effects of gay cure therapy were brought to light after several former patients claimed to have emotional scarring after being pushed into a therapy to change a sexual orientation they could not or did not want to, according to the NY Times. State and national advocates also voiced their support for banning of this treatment.

Gay cure therapy, banned as reparative or conversion therapy, uses techniques such as aversion techniques, like electric shock or drugs that induce nausea, are used on patients to combat homosexual desires. Although reparative therapists cite gay cure therapy as treating thousands of patients in reducing homosexual desires, curing the supposed issue is rare.

The step that California took in banning gay cure therapy is large in the movement for gay and lesbian equality, and other states like New Jersey are looking towards a similar step, said Wayne Besen, the director of the gay advocacy group Truth Wins Out.

Pitch Perfect: does it hit the right notes?

The new a capella-themed movie gets mixed reviews

Pitch Perfect is released Sept. 28 in select theaters for all those who just can’t wait to get their a capella fix, and as reviews are popping up it appears the movie is not getting harmonious reviews.

Contrary to Pitch Perfect’s title, reviews for the movie surrounding a struggling college a capella group are not pitch perfect, but rather a mixture of flat and sharp opinions. The film stars Anna Kendricks (Up in the Air, What to Expect When You’re Expecting) as Beca, the wannabe DJ and record producer who is introduced to the world of competitive college a capella groups. The film chronicles the Barden College group the Barden Bellas attempt at dethroning the  national champion boy group the Treble Makers.

In a storyline resembling the plot of dance competition films, Beca is added to the group and works to change its routine of performing songs that were hits in a time that isn’t now. Pitch Perfect has musical numbers performed by the Barden Bellas including covers of hip-hop classics and modern pop songs. The crew is also diversified with the addition of characters like Fat Amy, played by the ever-comical Rebel Wilson. Another character that rings in the right comedic notes is Anna Camp, who plays the alpha of the group, Aubrey, with a second in command Brittany Snow, Chloe.

Despite Pitch Perfect’s ability to deliver many laughs, reviewers state that the film does not deserve perfect reviews. “Where ‘Pitch Perfect’ goes flat is that, like too many comedies, it wastes time trying to be serious. Hollywood should just admit that it has no clue as to how real people behave. You have the girl being surly and mean when a guy likes her,” said the Buffalo News, giving the movie three stars.

Roger Moore of the Chicago Tribune rated the movie two and a half stars, stating that Pitch Perfect is playing on the Glee-fad so much that “they even insert a ‘Glee’ joke or two.”

Despite reviews, the film’s box office numbers are not in, and Pitch Perfect launched a pun-ridden Facebook campaign to promote the film’s release. Those who followed the site were told about the early screenings, given codes to get tickets at a discounted price and provided with memes featuring a capella infused phrases.

Pitch Perfect is out in select theaters Sept. 28, and hits theaters nationwide Oct. 5.

What do you think? Are you ready to get pitch slapped?

SEIU workings paid to protest Romney

Activists in Youtube videos admit to being paid $11/hr

SEIU activists protesting a Mitt Romney presidential rally in Bedford, Ohio Sept. 26 are seen in viral videos telling Romney to “go home,” and as it turns out, they were paid to.

Both videos that went viral on YouTube feature supporters of Barrack Obama, and the video that reporters see as proof the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) workers were paid to rally has several workers being asked where SEIU picked them up to come to the rally and how much they were getting paid that day to protest.

The amateur filmmaker who released the revealing footage of SEIU workers protesting the Republican presidential candidate said that they were picked up that morning from around the community, and paid $11 dollars an hour to protest. The protesters held signs that said “SEIU for OBAMA 2012” and shouted “we don’t need no bad economy!”

The first video that went viral under YouTube user RealFreedom1776, which is where the Andrew Breitbart-inspired filmmaker promotes his videos, according to the DailyCaller.com, showed a SEIU worker protesting against Romney. Her case against him and for Obama? Obama phones.

In the video, the woman is passionate about what she calls her “Obama phone,” which, according to the video, is provided to those on social security, disability and with low income.

Both videos are bringing attention to the issue of paid protesters, and this is not the first time SEIU workers have admitted to being paid to protest, according to the Examiner. It was reported in March that SEIU workers were overheard discussing their pay when they protested the Supreme Court.

Both videos can be seen on YouTube channel RealFreedom1776.

Miley Cyrus in bed with Ashton Kutcher?

Details about Cyrus’ guest appearance on ‘Two and A Half Men’

Miley Cyrus will grace the small screen once again with a guest appearance on Two and A Half Men, and pictures have surfaced of Cyrus’ character and Walden (Kutcher) in bed. It’s not what it looks like, they swear.

Although Miley Cyrus is seen scantily clad in stills from her upcoming Oct. 17 guest spot on the controversial show with Kutcher, sources from the show have given fans a few clues on her character’s place in the sitcom.

Rather than portraying a romantic interest for Kutcher, Miley Cyrus will be playing Missi, the daughter of one of Walden’s friends, according to Glamour.com. Missi, rather than striking up a relationship with Kutcher’s character, will actually stand to make Walden feel old, not young and in love.

On another note, Miley Cyrus’ appearance will spark some romantic interest for Jake Harper, played by Angus T. Jones. Jake will be returning home from the army to visit his dad Alan Harper, played by Emmy award winner Jon Cryer.

Despite the lack of romantic link between Miley Cyrus and Ashton Kutcher’s characters, her Oct. 17 guest appearance is sure to shake things up for the guys of Two and A Half Men.

Johnny Lewis: a troubled life lead to his tragic end

The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ death ended a life of drugs and mental disease

Johnny Lewis tragically fell to his death Sept. 26 after allegedly killing his landlady, and probation reports state that he had been out of control for some time. The Sons of Anarchy star fell or jumped to his death from the roof of his home in Los Angeles.

Amid the many rumors surrounding Johnny Lewis’ death are that he was on synthetic drug C2-I, also known as “smiles,” at the time of his untimely death, according to CBS News. The drug is labeled as a hallucinogen by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Johnny Lewis not only had a physical dependency to various drugs, but also struggled with mental health issues. He had been in and out of jail and counseling up to five days before he allegedly killed his landlady, Catherine Davis, 81, and her cat.

Living a life of destruction to others and himself, Johnny Lewis had been in legal trouble thanks to several violent incidents. One incident from January 2012 involves him attacking and assaulting two men, and three other arrests have occurred after that including breaking and entering and resisting arrest.

The courts were aware of his mental issues and drug addictions and Johnny Lewis had been sent on several occasions to treatment programs to help him with those parts of his life. One of those rehabilitation programs includes a Church of Scientology drug program called Narconon, which he attended in 2004, according to NY Daily News.

His parents, who are both devastated by Johnny Lewis’ death and their failed attempts to help their struggling son, are active members of the Church of Scientology.

“I give a lot of credit to his parents. They were really strong in trying to help him out. They really went to bat for him, but I guess they just couldn’t do enough,” said Jonathan Mandel, Lewis’ attorney, told CBS News.

Johnny Lewis, whose character Kip ‘Half Sack’ Epps on Sons of Anarchy was killed off in 2009, was a talented and troubled actor who appeared mainly in small roles. His roles appeared on titles including The O.C., American Dreams, Boston Public and most recently The Runaways.

Lewis’ death will be explained more in the toxicology report, which will reveal the cause of death, according to the L.A. County coroner’s investigative division.
