Joe Philbin’s son’s body recovered from Fox River
The body recovered from the Fox River in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is that of Packers coach Joe Philbin’s son, Michael Philbin.
USA Today reports that police had been searching for Philbin who had been missing since Sunday. Philbin’s body was pulled from the river at 3 p.m. on Monday about 30 yards from the shore.
“We love Michael so much and will miss him dearly,” Joe Philbin said. “He loved his family, friends and life. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. We are appreciative of the prayers and the support of our family, friends and the Packers family. We ask for continued respect and privacy for our family as we deal with our loss.”
Philbin, 21, was a Ripon College student.
Joe Philbin has been with the Green Bay Packers since 2003.
