Gloria Steinem to be portrayed in upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic
Demi Moore will be portraying Gloria Steinem in an upcoming film.
Fox News reports that Moore will portray Steinem in an upcoming biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace. The film is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
A journalist and feminist, Steinem founded Ms. magazine in 1971 and was a prominent critic of pornography. In 1980, Steinem wrote a profile of Lovelace, including details of her relationship with husband and “Deep Throat” producer Charles E. Traynor. In the article, Steinem said, “the myth that Lovelace loved to be sexually used and humiliated was created by her husband.”
Lovelace died in 2002 at the age of 53.
Amanda Seyfried will be taking on the role of Lovelace in the biopic, accompanied by Peter Sarsgaard as Traynor.
