Buff Bagwell accident

Pro wrestler may have had seizure before wreck

Buff Bagwell may have suffered a seizure just before he was seriously injured when he flipped his jeep Monday. He remains in intensive care.

The former WCW wrestler, Marcus “Buff” Bagwell is expected to survive the wreck. He flipped his Jeep several times on the Towne Lake Parkway and suffered broken bones in his neck and face and a broken jaw, said Universal Championship Wrestling spokesman Ron Gossett.

Buff Bagwell was traveling northbound on Buckhead Crossing around 1:35 p.m. Monday when he called his wife to tell her he was going to have a seizure. He then turned left onto Running Deer Parkway where he hit the curb for several hundred feet with his Wrangler, according to the Woodstock police report.

Investigators believe he then made a sharp left turn that caused his vehicle to spin across the median and roll over. He was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital by ambulance where he remains sedated, said Gossett.

The extent of his injuries is not known. Buff Bagwell may undergo surgery by the end of the week. Hopefully, he’ll make a full recovery,” Gossett said.
