Beyonce cancels tour date amid pregnancy speculation

Illness, pregnancy and double-booking all possible reasons for cancellation

Beyonce cancelled tonight’s show on her Mrs. Carter world tour. The songstress was supposed to perform at Antwerp’s Sportpaleis but Beyonce cancelled the show citing medical reasons, leaving many fans disappointed. Beyonce’s cancellation comes amid pregnancy rumors, after her extravagant ensemble at the Met Gala left many wondering whether or not Blue Ivy might soon have a sibling.

Beyonce’s sparked the pregnancy rumors herself during an interview in which she said that she was definitely open to having more children when the time is right. “I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely loved being a big sister.”

In an effort to control the media frenzy, Beyonce’s publicist claimed Beyonce cancelled on doctor’s orders due to “dehydration and exhaustion.” Pregnancy rumors and possible illness aside, it seems there might be an even more dishonest reason Beyonce cancelled the tour stop. A Cannes Film Festival insider tweeted that Beyonce would be attending “The Great Gatsby” premiere with her husband, Jay-Z. When fans noted that Beyonce had a concert date scheduled in Belgium, the festival insider noted that Beyonce was verified on the guest list and expected to be at the premiere.

Whatever the cause, Beyonce has yet to make a decision about tomorrow night’s show and is waiting to get her doctor’s approval. Ticket holders might be upset, but they need not worry, as tonight’s show will be rescheduled and their current tickets will be honored.
