Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley Lead ACM Awards Nominations

Miranda Lambert leads ACM Awards Nominations with eight nominations including Entertainer of the Year.

Friday morning nominations for the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards were announced and Miranda Lambert leads the pack with eight nominations in total including a nomination for Entertainer of the Year.

Following is Dierks Bentley with seven nominations. Bentley released his seventh studio album, Riser which earned him nominations for Album of the Year and Male Vocalist among others.

The ACM nominations include some newer acts as well with Brandy Clark nominated for Female Vocalist while Maddie & Tae and Brothers Osborne compete in Vocal Duo of the Year.

The most interesting category for nominations this year is Entertainer of the Year whose nominees include Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Garth Brooks.

Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year are fan-voted with a victor being determined just a few days before the show.

The Academy of Country Music Awards air Sunday, April 19th on CBS from AT&T Stadium in Texas.
