Bank of America to begin charging $5 monthly debit card fee
Bank of America customers, listen up.
ABC 7 News reports that Bank of America will begin charging customers a $5 a month debit card fee. Bank of America has also said that customers will only be charged the fee if they have used their debit card during that particular month.
The move by Bank of America follows on the heels of Wells Fargo and Chase introducing similar fees. Unlike Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Chase are only charging $3 fees in select cities.
The Bank of America fees will be introduced next year, but customers are already upset by the announcement.
Customers have taken to Twitter to express their anger over the new charges, some saying, “Getting an AmEx now. You won’t get a DIME of my money for this,” while others are asking for recommendations for other banks.
