Ashley Olsen won't return to acting

Say it ain’t so

Ashley Olsen says she will never act again.

Has anyone asked her to?

Ashley Olsen and her twin sister Mary-Kate Olsen made their acting debut as babies playing the role of Michelle Tanner on the television classic Full House.

While after school Full House re-runs are still can’t-miss television, How the West Was Fun is still on that resume and most likely doesn’t have the casting directors begging them to make an on-screen comeback.

Ashley Olsen did not reveal whether or not she or her sister had been asked to take on any new roles.

Ashley Olsen, 25, broke the news to Elle UK.

“We worked non-stop until we were 18. Then we decided to take a break and go to school—and that was when we decided to question whether we would carry on in entertainment. It was time to step behind the process. I wanted to work on other things,” Ashley Olsen said.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will remain in the fashion world though. They currently have multiple lines, including The Row, Elizabeth and James, and Olsenboye.

Full House fans will regret the choice Ashley Olsen has made because this means there probably won’t be a Full House reunion anytime soon.

It’s ok, though. We have a younger Olsen to soothe our pain.

Elizabeth Olsen, the 23 year-old younger sister of the Olsen twins, was one of 2011’s hottest breakout actresses. The NYU student starred in Martha Marcy May Marlene as the title character(s) and can be seen on the big screen again this Friday in the thriller Silent House.

Still, it’s a sad day in Hollywood when the brains behind gems like Winning London and Passport to Paris decide to stay away from acting for good. Maybe Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will reconsider?
