Get on-the-job training with a touch of magic

If the idea of working at a Disney theme park or resort excites you to no end, then perhaps you should take a look at the Disney College Program! The program is designed to give potential future employees on-the-job experience in Disney’s theme parks and resorts.

As the Disney College Program site details, “As a part of the Disney College Program, participants have the incredible opportunity to advance their strengths and interests, meet guests and cast members from around the country and take part in educational opportunities students can’t get anywhere else. This truly unique program allows participants to network with leaders, take part in personal and career development classes, and build transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication.”

In addition to living near the resorts in Disney-provided housing, students are also given collegiate courses which are specifically designed for each area of expertise within the company. Courses include advanced studies in hospitality managment, human resource management and organizational leadership. There are also a variety of seminar programs students can check out.

After completing the College Program, students can either reapply for another area of study in the College Program, or they can opt to apply for a Disney Professional Internship. The Disney Professional Internship allows students to gain experience in an area of expertise that is more closely aligend with their major, including broadcast/media, coporate and creative positions.
