LL Cool J is safe after encountering a burglar in his home early Wednesday morning

LL Cool J isn’t just using his special agent skills on the hit TV show NCIS: Los Angeles. Early Wednesday morning around 2 a.m., the rapper supposedly heard noises coming from his kitchen and proceeded to investigate the scene.

He discovered an intruder who decided to violently come at him. LL Cool J did not disappoint. The intruder, Jonathan Kirby, suffered a broken jaw, nose and ribs. I don’t know what else one would expect upon breaking into the home of LL Cool J. I mean, this guy killed a man-eating shark in Deep Blue Sea.

It’s a mystery how Kirby even managed to break into the star’s San Fernando Valley home which is walled and gated.

LL Cool J, born as James Todd Smith, is known for his role as a special agent on NCIS: Los Angeles as well as for the hit song “Mama Said Knock You” and roles in movies such as Deep Blue Sea and Any Given Sunday.

The rapper received no injuries and is currently cooperating with the Los Angeles police regarding the situation.

According to a statement released by his publicist, Rhett Usry, “LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern.”
