Justin Bieber occasionally drinks beer.
Stop the press. This eighteen-year-old guy in the Hollywood scene occasionally has a drink.
“For me, it’s just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I’ve had a beer, like, before… but I never get out of control,” Justin Bieber confessed to GQ.
Mind you, GQ was trying to get more adult confessions out of the kid than, “Justin Bieber drinks beer once in awhile.”
“I mean, I keep my guard up a lot, because you know, you can’t trust anyone in this business. That’s what’s sad. You can’t trust anybody. I learned that the hard way.”
Justin Bieber went on to say he doesn’t drink to the point of being drunk because he knows what is expected of him. Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber’s manager, said that Justin Bieber, “knows that I hold him to a high standard. He doesn’t want to blow it.”
Justin Bieber may enjoy the occasional adult beverage, but that’s not the only sign of the Biebs growing up. Justin Bieber touched on other topics that have led people to believe he is growing up with his feet planted solidly on the ground.
Of course, it says a lot for him that he can admit to doing something he knows could land him in hot water with the parents of younger fans, and some fans themselves, and it says even more about his character that he chooses not to allow himself to get out of control. But when one of Justin Bieber’s entourage made fun of Kim Kardashian, the young adult came to the 31 year-old’s defense.
“You guys are so mean, bro. People say she doesn’t do anything; she actually does do stuff. She works hard,” Justin Bieber reportedly scolded.
Well, I guess this is growing up.
Just after Justin Bieber’s beer confessions became public knowledge, the singer’s celebrity girlfriend Selena Gomez posted a picture on Facebook. The picture shows the adorable former Disney star shooting a gun at a shooting range in Bulgaria where she’s currently filming a movie.
“Releasing some stress,” she wrote after uploading the photo.
Rumors have been buzzing around that Justin Bieber plans to visit Selena Gomez on set in Bulgaria. Can we speculate that they might share a beer?
