“19 and Counting” Stars pregnant with number 20
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” fame are expecting this 20th child this spring.
The couple revealed their exciting news Tuesday morning on “Today.” “We are so excited,” said Michelle, 45, who is three and a half months into her pregnancy. Jim Bob, 46, added, “We didn’t want to stop on an odd number.”
The mother of 19 admitted that she was most shocked to learn she was expecting at age 45. “I was not thinking that God would give us another one, and we are just so grateful,” she said.
The couple lives in Tontiown, Ark., with their children ranging in ages 23 to almost 2. Josie, the youngest, survived a medical emergency when she was born at only 25 weeks. Although she suffered from gall-bladder problems as well as preeclampsia during her past pregnancy, Michelle says she abstains from birth control and leaves her family planning up to God.
Doctors have given Michaelle the “ok” on her current pregnancy. The birth of this child will mark Michelle’s first Cesarean section after her last child’s complicated delivery required a cut be made to the inside of her uterus.
