Jennifer Garner gives birth to third child

Actress has yet to reveal name

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have welcomed their third child into the world, a son this time. The baby boy joins big sisters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner met on the set of 2003’s “Daredevil” and were married in 2005. The couple announced the most recent pregnancy in August of last year.

The name of the little boy has yet to be revealed. Earlier this year the actress told Jay Leno that they had decided to let their daughters choose the name of the unborn baby. “Our girls are working on names. At first they were definitely Disney. It was like, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck. And then they’ve moved on. Then it was Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee…” she said on “The Tonight Show.”

The couple had not revealed the sex of the baby publicly, but Garner did talk about the possibility of having a boy on “Ellen DeGeneres” in September. “It would be so weird to have a boy,” she said, but also admitted the experience would be “cool and different.”

The 39-year-old was frequently seen running errands during her pregnancy, even as recently as last week, when she was spotted taking her daughters to the library.

In 2008, Jennifer Garner opened up about the hard parts of being a mom in an interview with Parents magazine. “Finding the right balance is tough for moms today. But even for my mom, who didn’t work when we were growing up — and I’m one of three — the one thing she wishes she had done for herself was to work just a little bit. Finding the balance that’s right for you is hard when you’re trying to have a little bit of everything.”

That’s not to say she doesn’t love being a parent, “The best part of being a mom is the kid herself — that you get to have this little person be your friend and hang out with you (and drive you crazy!). Obviously your life changes and your heart expands, and it’s something you can’t even put into words without sounding incredibly sentimental and cliched — both of which I am! But what it really is, is this new being is there, which is just the most fun ever.”

Garner will also play a mother in her new film, “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” which will be released August 15.
