Hell will rise again
Diablo III will be available for download May 15, and the date can’t come too soon for eager enthusiasts of the Hell raising game. Blizzard’s Diablo III will cost your $60 and be available for both PC and Mac.
The game will hit U.S., Canada, Europe, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macu first. Several Latin America countries and Russia will have to wait until June 7.
“The end is nigh!” writes publishers/developer Blizzard Entertainment in the press release. “[The] next chapter in [the] critically acclaimed action role-playing game series, will be unleashed from the Burning Hells on May 15,” reports Time.com
The game is set in Sanctuary, which is the dark and horrific world of the Diablo series, and players will be pit against the evils of the Burning Hell in order to save future generations. Staple Deckard Cain will still be the lead character; though his niece Leah will make her debut. Playing as these two characters you’ll battle against Asmodan and Belial. Though, fans of the new game will notice that Sanctuary is not as they remember it, given that the destruction of the World Stone has reshaped the world’s landmasses.
“After many years of hard work by our development team and months of beta testing by hundreds of thousands of dedicated players around the world, we’re now in the homestretch,” stated Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime in the press release. “We look forward to putting the final polish on Diablo III over the next two months and delivering the ultimate action-RPG experience to gamers worldwide starting on May 15.”
So, with the games release date quickly approaching, it seems only fair to inform friends, loved ones and employers that you’ll be indisposed for an undetermined amount of time. Better stock up on those bags of Fritos.
