According to police, Young Jeezy was one of six suspects arrested on suspicion of illegal firearms.
Rapper, Young Jeezy was one of six people arrested on Sunday in Irvine, California on suspicion of illegal firearms after a man was shot and killed at a previous show at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.
According to Mountain View police, Jay “Young Jeezy” Jenkins was taken into custody on Sunday with the help of police in Irvine. Jeezy is currently on tour with fellow rapper, Wiz Khalifa as part of his Under The Influence Tour.
Police obtained warrants to arrest Jeezy and five others after an investigation regarding the homicide of 38-year-old Eric Johnson. According to reports, Johnson was gunned down at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on Friday night.
Police responded to multiple calls at 11:05 p.m. on Friday night regarding shots fired at the venue.
Johnson was transported to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one was arrested in connection with Johnson’s death.
