Anytime Lady Gaga makes an appearance she makes sure to steal the spotlight, usually with her obscene wardrobe choices when she takes the red carpet. At this weekend’s Oscars, it was no different, only this time it was for good reason.

Lady Gaga appeared at the Oscars in a relaxed but elegant demure bridal-style gown unusual for the showstopper who’s known for her wild dress choices.

Aside from stepping out in elegance opposed to extremity, Lady Gaga shocked viewers near and far with a stunning performance of her “The Sound of Music” tribute at the 2015 Oscars.

Gaga nailed every song with her powerhouse vocals including the title track, “My Favorite Things” and “Climb Every Mountain.” Her performance sent media buzzing about her incredible performance where she showcased impressive vocals that brought the audience to their feet.

Following her performance, Gaga was embraced by Julie Andrews, 79, who played Maria von Trapp, as she came out to present an award, applauding Gaga for her immaculate performance.

“The Sound of Music” which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year is a classic musical and film that tells the story of a nun that becomes a nanny to care for seven children and later falls in love with their father.
