Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez has decided to break off their engagment.
The couple’s romance was shown publicly in season 6 of the reality show in 2010 and ended in a marriage proposal.
The couple’s rep told PEOPLE, “As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple’s privacy.”
In October, Fedotowsky admitted that the reason that they had postpone their wedding plans had nothing to do with problems in the relationship.
She told PEOPLE, “We didn’t meet in the most traditional way. We had a very short courtship and we only knew each other nine weeks before we got engaged.”‘
