Duke basketball coach: “We were getting our butt kicked”
Third-ranked Duke lost to the second-ranked Ohio State basketball team on Tuesday night.
CBS Sports reports that Duke got its “butt kicked” by the Ohio State Buckeyes who won the game 85-63. The Buckeyes scored 11 points in the first four minutes of the game, while the Duke Blue Devils appeared tired and sluggish.
“There’s no excuse for how we played,” said Duke basketball player Mason Plumlee. “Not to take anything away from them. They played great.”
“Sometimes you just get your butt kicked,” Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “We were getting our butt kicked. I’ve had my butt kicked before. We’ve kicked some butt. Tonight my butt’s sore.”
Buckeyes fans even chanted “overrated” at the Duke basketball team in the game’s final minute.
