MacFarlane discusses end, but also talks about Family Guy movie

Seth MacFarlane, creator of “Family Guy,” has shared that there is a deal in place for Peter Griffin and family to come to the big screen.

He ideally would rather create a movie every few years, than continue the show.

MacFarlane says, “Part of me thinks that ‘Family Guy’ should have already ended. I think seven seasons is about the right lifespan for a TV series.”

He hopes that fans have grown tired of the show, though given the reactions to his comment, that seems unlikely.

MacFarlane is also involved with “American Dad,” The Cleveland Show,” and a remake of the “Flintstones.”

You can watch “Family Guy” on Sundays on FOX at 9:00pm ET, or on weekdays at Adult Swim 11:00pm to 11:30pm or TBS 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Hulu.com also has new episodes for viewing 8 days after their premiere.
