The wait for the “ESPN Body Issue” 2012 has people on the edges of their seats
ESPN revealed the 27 Olympian athletes who will appear naked in the magazine’s third annual ESPN Body Issue. The media are dubbing this issue to be exciting, to include names spanning from tennis player, Daniela Hantuchova to 22-year-old decathlete Ashton Eaton.
The Inquistr provides the naked cover photo of the fit New York Knicks center, Tyson Chandler, as a sneak preview for the ESPN Body Issue.
The ESPN Body Issue will celebrate the athletic form in its July 13th release of the publication. According to Vibe, Eaton set a new decathlon record at the U.S. Track and Field Trials in June.
The ESPN homepage helps to boost the excitement for the ESPN Body Issue by keeping a count-down on its homepage. While many are just anticipating a look at the chiseled bodies of these athletes, some are hoping to get a close look at Olympians’ personalities through their body language.
Bleacher Report featured columnist Timothy Rapp shared his hope for what the 2012 ESPN Body Issue would reveal about football star Rob Gronkowski: “Gronk is a pretty funny guy. He’s the sort of fellow you imagine would fit right in with your boys, sloshing back brews and playing Madden while he tells dirty jokes. So I’m hoping ESPN doesn’t take his inclusion into the issue too seriously and instead has some fun with it.”
Some are looking forward to a sustained glance at the success stories of people like Candace Parker. Rapp added that Parker’s goal in including herself in the 2012 ESPN Body Issue is to show off her achievement in a quick return to her fit and athletic figure post-pregnancy.
