Sumerfest 2012 comes to a close

Old School artists close fest

Summerfest 2012 kicked off June 27 in Milwaukee, marking the 45th year. Summerfest began back in 1968 and has become the world’s largest music fest.

This year’s lineup didn’t take a back seat either, featuring Rascal Flatts, Steve Miller Band, the Foo Fighters, Tran and Kelly Clarkson, Lady Antebellum with Darius Rucker.

While most of the bands that headlined earlier in the week, were relatively young. Summerfest plans on closing this weekend with Big Time Rush and Rachel Crow Friday night, Aerosmith and Cheap Trick Saturday night, and the one and only Neil Diamond Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
