President Obama’s rendition of “Let’s Stay Together” delights audience
President Obama showed off his singing skills at a fundraiser Thursday night at the Apollo Theater.
President Obama mentioned that the legendary Al Green was in attendance and then, taking advantage of the opportunity, briefly broke into a rendition of Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.” The song caused the crowd to erupt in cheers and Obama laughed, saying that others didn’t think he was going to do it.
Obama then apologized to Green, saying that he’s not as talented as he is.
