LouFest 2013 features headliners Wilco and The Killers

LouFest is upon us!

As the tantalizing summer breeze slowly turns into a crisp fall chill, this not only marks the end of the summer season, but it also marks the end of festival season. Coachella, Bonnaroo, SummerCamp, Lollapalooza and many more festivals have made their mark, and music fans walked away with a bittersweet feeling that there will be no other music festivals to enjoy. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, as LouFest is coming back to St. Louis, Missouri for its fourth year and will be September 7 and September 8, in the gorgeous Central Field in Forest Park.

This year’s LouFest will be bigger and better than ever and will be presented by Listen Live entertainment and C3 Presents. The lineup is arguably the best to date with headliners Wilco, The Killers, The National and Edwarde Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

Wilco will be rocking out LouFest shortly after touring with legendary musician Bob Dylan and will continue the festival circuit at Austin City Limits in October.

The Killers also headlined an amazing set at Chicago’s massive festival Lollapalooza, and the incomparable band will be setting Central Field ablaze September 8, with their famous hits such as “Somebody Told Me” and “Mr. Brightside” as well as hits from their latest  album Battle Born.

The lineup will also feature sets from the R&B infused alternative band Fitz & the Tantrums, as well as Toro Y Moi, Twin Shadow, British pop duo Icona Pop, Ra Ra Riot, Wild Belle, The Mowglis and so many other genre crossing musicians that will satisfy every music lover.

After jamming out to bands all day, festies will work up an appetite and the LouFest has that covered with the Nosh Pit presented by FEAST. This will host some of the best food that St. Louis has to offer and will surely satisfy any craving with some versatile choices. LouFest will also feature a Market Square, which will have various clothing vendors and boutiques for convenience.

Tickets are still on sale, but judging by the lineup, this year they won’t last long, so grab one day passes or two day passes on the LouFest website.
