“Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp” will air later this year

Bristol Palin is back in the limelight, this time with a new reality series.

Bristol Palin will star in the new series “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp” on Lifetime later this year. The series will chronicle her home life in Alaska with her son, Tripp, as she tries to maintain relationships with her family. Bristol Palin is the daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

“From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding. This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world,” Lifetime executive Rob Sharenow said in a statement.

Bristol Palin, a past contestant on “Dancing with the Stars”, gave birth to her son Tripp at the age of 18. Her pregnancy got a lot of attention because she was not married to the father, Levi Johnston. Since then, Bristol Palin has become an advocate for the prevention of teen pregnancy.

The Palins are not strangers to reality television. Bristol Palin was to be the star of a reality series on the BIO channel, but that show was dropped in November before it ever aired. The Palin family also starred in a reality series on TLC called “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”.

According to reps for Levi Johnston, Palin’s ex-fiancé, is unsure yet whether or not he will participate in the series.

The new show will feature Bristol Palin and Tripp in their new home in Alaska, where they have settled down after spending some time in Arizona and Los Angeles.

Sarah Palin will most likely make appearances, but so far there is no news as to how much the former vice-presidential hopeful will participate in the show.
