I was born and raised in the Chicago land area the majority of my young life. After High School I served five years in the military, with three years spent overseas. In the Navy I dove on nuclear submarines on the island of Guam. My time spent abroad helped shape my artistic insight, as well as my appetite for storytelling. I studied creative fiction at University of Illinois at Chicago. I am currently enrolled in the graduate writer/director program at Columbia College Chicago. I have completed a multitude of professional short films and documentaries that have been received with honors. My upcoming project is my thesis project, Pool Week about a Navy dropout who is searching for his runaway father, while marooned in suburbia with his alcoholic mother.
