Kim Kardashian is a media personality who has always been in the news for various reasons ranging from her sex tape leak to her high-profile relationships. Recently the socialite has been in the news because of her messy divorce with singer Kanye West. Due to the Reality star’s show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, the audience has a good idea about Kim’s and her family’s glamorous life and now as she is getting divorced and dating again, the general audience it seems is too involved. And why not? With seven years of marriage and four kids, Kim and Kanye were seen as one of the strongest couples in Hollywood. However, the not much shocking break-up saw Kanye washing his dirty linen in public while Kim maintained her dignity and kept silent about the issue. Read on to know how the couple started dating and what led to their unpleasant break-up.

How they met

The couple met for the first time in the early 2000s when Kim was not a household name, and even Kanye did not know much about her. The couple remained distant friends till 2008 and connected when they met on a show called Alligator Boots. Kim and Kanye were friends for an extended period and dated and even married other people in this duration. Kim even married NBA player Kris Humphries in 2011 but divorced him only after just two months of marriage. According to Kim, the divorce led her to Kanye as when she was down and depressed about the divorce, Kanye asked her to come to Paris to see his fashion show. Once she reached Paris, she stayed with Kanye and fell in love with him, her only regret being why didn’t she do it sooner.

Marriage and family

In 2013, the couple’s first child was born, and Kanye was with Kim at every step. He then proposed to Kim in the same year, and the couple tied the knot the following year. From 2014-to 2019, the couple had three more kids and seemed to have a happy life. Due to Kim’s show and Kanye’s music, they were constantly in the limelight.

The relationship going downhill…

In 2020, cracks were visible in the couple’s relationship. Kanye revealed his plan to run for President of the United States and soon unveiled some personal information about his wife, leaving her upset. What followed were a series of Tweets from the rapper where he mentioned how his wife confined him and how he would divorce her. A couple of days later, Kim shared that her husband has bipolar disorder and urged people to show compassion towards him.

The speculations about the divorce

In December 2020, Kim posted a picture in which her engagement ring was missing, which led to the rumors of the couple’s split. There were also reports from sources close to the couple stating that the couple has already separated and only a legal divorce is pending. The couple were reportedly together only for kids and were frustrated with each other. However, Kim showed maturity and wanted to think about her kids. It was speculated that the reason for the rift was that due to her work and kids, and so Kim could not spend a lot of time with Kanye. Kanye was also irritated with the Kardashian family drama and the amount of control Kris Jenner, Kim’s mother, had on their lives. However, sources close to Kanye said that he loved his wife a lot but could not do anything to save the relationship, making him sad and anxious.

The Divorce

A couple of months into 2021, it was confirmed that the couple was taking a divorce. Kim opened up about her divorce on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and stated that although it felt like a failure to be divorced the third time, Kanye deserved someone who would move with him and Kim was not someone who could do that. She said she wanted to be happy and be with someone with whom she would have something in common.

A hope

In July, the West family was seen in the Asian Art Museum, where they were spending time like a typical family. By this time, rumors of Kanye dating Russian model Irina Shayk had also died down, giving hope of reconciliation. However, nothing like this happened.

Kanye’s drama

While there were rumors of Kim dating comedian Pete Davidson, Kanye revealed that he wanted his wife back and wanted to stay married to her. According to him, the divorce was not on the papers, and he wanted to give a complete family to his kids. After this, it was not uncommon for the rapper to profess his love for his estranged wife on TV, which left Kim embarrassed. Kim was not affected by West’s drama and was adamant and moving forward with her divorce.

Things became scary when Kanye’s obsession got to other levels as he purchased a property direly across the mansion he shared with his ex-wife. All this while, Kim tried to keep her calm and kept mum as she wanted things to end on cordial terms. Even after that, when there were many more public allegations from the rapper against Kim, the socialite had no other option than to come out and speak about the toll Kanye’s many media interviews were taking on her and her kids.

With the couple’s marriage officially dissolved, we can only hope that things become better between the two and they learn to co-parent their kids and keep them away from the drama.

The Weird and Wonderful From This Year’s Met Gala

One of the biggest and most iconic fashion shows, the Met Gala, returned on Monday night following a year’s absence, showcasing high-quality and flamboyant fashion on a night featuring a star-studded celebrity line-up.

This ball, which was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and delayed this year due to more concerns about the virus, was co-hosted by singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, tennis star Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet and poet Amanda Gorman among a number of worldwide stars.

Those attending including a number of internet influencers, YouTubers and TikTok stars as well as singers, actors and sportspeople. Some of the biggest stars who attended included Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Frank Ocean, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Serena Williams and Maisie Williams.

The Met Gala is held to promote and raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute based in New York City.

This year’s theme for the gala was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” as we saw an array of outrageous and usual outfit designs on the red carpet.

When discussing the topic of American fashion, Andrew Bolton from the Costume Institute told Vogue that young American designers have focused on “diversity and inclusion, as well as sustainability” as they have attempted to shape fashion more environmentally friendly in regard to the type of clothing they produce.

“The American fashion community has been supporting us for 75 years, really since the beginning of the Costume Institute, so I wanted to acknowledge its support, and also to celebrate and reflect upon American fashion,” Andrew Bolton said.

One of the most talked about costumes from the night unsurprisingly came from American personality, Kim Kardashian. She entered the ball in a look which could be seen from a horror movie. Dressed in all black, covered from head to toe. Her look was designed by the creative director of fashion house Balenciaga and was certainly one of the most bizarre costumes of the night which definitely had social media talking.

Paris Fashion week received some of North West’s experimental (and borrowed) bars during Yeezy Season 8 Fashion show this week. On Monday, Kanye West brought his sought after Yeezy brand to the runway where it was met with mixed reviews. Placed in a venue as complex as the collection, fashion mavens piled into the Espace Niemeyer, which is known as the headquarters for the French Communist Party. Those who received invitations knew they were in for a treat when they found that invites included both a bundle of white sage and rattlesnake eggs.

Muted pastel puffer coats, oversized slides and puffer crops made for a cloudy and dreamy aesthetic, but still was heavy on the confusion. Where a lot of the structure was puffy with a muted color scheme, there were also blocky shoes with abrasive neon colors in the collection. However, when questioned about Yeezy Season 8, West openly admitted that a lot of the ideas were not completed finished, and prices haven’t even been set yet. Kanye admitted that he was doing some experimental approached to the fabric in this latest collection.

“The wool will be from [the sheep on my ranch]. We’re just looking at different ways to approach things. Ninety-percent of this collection is muslin it its original fabric. We’ve been looking at how we can create a suede effect or how we can dye it. This is all experimental. Each one of the pieces here is in its infant stage. They’re all new inventions and new approaches to apparel. Now, I’m looking at them, and thinking, where I can take them with their color and forms,” Kanye explained.

The Yeezy Season 8 show was the first he has had over two years since Yeezy Season 5. However, this will be be one of the most talked about ones with the newfound rap career of his 6-year-old daughter, North West, or how she likes to introduce herself, “Hi, I’m Northie.”

North West barked her own rendition of ZaZa’s “What I Do”, which caused a giddy reaction from the audience, however ZaZa’s mother wasn’t so enthused who posted an Instagram post highlighting the fact that North had the performed the song without giving ZaZa any credit.

However, Kim apologized and later mentioned ZaZa on Twitter and how North hopes that the 5-year-old raptress liked the remix.

All in all, it seems that Yeezy Season 8 was one of the highlights so far of Paris Fashion Week.

The name and first photos of Psalm West, the fourth child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, were shared this weekend in a tweet from Kim.

The post showed a screenshot of a text conversation with husband, Kanye, saying ” We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.”

Psalm’s birth was announced on May 10—a week that was noteworthy for the number of babies birthed into immense privilege and wealth.

Psalm West was born via surrogate and joins three older siblings—North (age 5), Saint (age 3) and Chicago (1).

Kim, now a mom-of-four as well as an aspiring layer, wrote that her new baby boy is “perfect.”

Kim and Kanye confirmed in January that they were expecting a fourth child, their second to be born via surrogate, after Kim endured difficult and high-risk pregnancies with her first two children.

While it seems like there is always a Kardashian-Jenner with a baby on the way, Kim has confirmed that Psalm is her last, as it was revealed that this was the last embryo the couple had left.

To celebrate Psalm’s coming, the Kardashian-Jenner clan held a CBD-themed baby shower that focused on all things meditation and relaxation last month.

Psalm West is Kris Jenner’s tenth grandchild.

According to US Weekly, Kardashian, 38, and West, 41, are expecting a fourth child via surrogate.

The baby is reportedly due in “very early May,” although the couple are yet to comment on the circulating news.

Kardashian is said to have only one fertilized embryo remaining and will be using the same surrogate who carried her daughter Chicago—born 12 months ago, on January 15.

The couple currently have three children. The new baby, reportedly a boy, will also join sister North, 5, and brother Saint, 3.

Suffering from health issues in her previous pregnancies, Kardashian turned to a surrogate for her youngest daughter after doctors advised her not to get pregnant again naturally.

She has previously opened up about her complications and battle with placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall.

“There were a couple of little operations to fix all that, so that created a little hole in my uterus, which I think made it really tough to get pregnant again,” she told C Magazine.

The identity of the surrogate who carried Chicago remains unknown, but she did make an anonymous cameo on Keeping Up with the Kardashians last year and her first name was revealed to be Lorena.

“My surrogate is such a nice person, my family absolutely loves her and I’m so grateful,” the reality star said in the episode.

Following Chicago’s birth, she said: “I enjoyed the surrogacy process. When it came time to breastfeed, I realized it was the best decision I have made—it’s a game changer.

“I can spend so much more time with the older kids, getting them used to the new baby.”

In more recent episodes of the show, Kardashian spilled that “Kanye wants to have more children.”

“He’s been harassing me. He wants like seven. He’s like stuck on seven,” she said.

Speaking to E! News in August 2018, Kardashian shot down rumors that the couple were planning for baby number four. However, she was clearly not opposed to the idea.

“None of that was true…but I’ve been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so…I don’t know.”

Meanwhile, a source stated that some of her sisters are also thinking about getting pregnant again.

Born within a few months of each other, cousins Chicago West, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s 11-month-old daughter Stormi Webster, and Khloé Karashian and Tristan Thompson’s eight-month-old daughter True Thompson, have become known as the “triplets”.

Another Kardashian-Jenner baby boom may well be on the horizon.
