George Zimmerman remains in custody for felony assault

George Zimmerman has allegedly pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend during an altercation

George Zimmerman has been charged with a felony. No, not for the murder of Trayvon Martin, but for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend. Huge surprise there. Zimmerman was taken into custody after a call to 911 was received from a home in Florida. His girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe could be heard telling the emergency dispatcher “He’s in my house, breaking all my shit because I asked him to leave,” she said in a panic. “He’s got a freaking gun, breaking all my stuff right now.”

While on the phone, Scheibe can be heard saying to George Zimmerman “You put your gun in my freaking face,” she said to him. “Get out of my house. Do not push me out of my house. Please get out of my house.”

The cops came to the home where Scheibe had been locked out of the house by George Zimmerman and the police had to push past a barricade of items to get inside of the house. While the police were trying to get into the house Zimmerman was already on the phone trying to paint himself as the victim (again, huge surprise there). “My girlfriend for a lack of better words has gone crazy on me,” he told the dispatcher.

Chief Deputy Dennis of the Seminole County Sheriff Department explained the situation at bay when arrived at the premises. “When we arrived, the victim indicated that she and George Zimmerman were having a verbal dispute and at the time that he had broken a table and pointed a long barrel shotgun at her.”

After officers got into the premises they arrested George Zimmerman is being held in custody without bail under an aggravated assault charge.

This could just be another case of Karma rearing her vengeful head, since George Zimmerman was acquitted of the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was unarmed at the time and was returning home from the store with a bag of Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea.

His acquittal sent shock waves throughout the country and ignited many discussions about race and gun laws. However, this isn’t the first trouble Zimmerman has gotten into since his acquittal. Earlier in the month Zimmerman and his estranged wife got into a domestic altercation where he allegedly broke his wife’s iPad and also pointed a gun in her face. Shellie ultimately decided to not press charges against Zimmerman. He also had gotten pulled over back in July in Texas for speeding and told the officer he was carrying a weapon in his glove compartment.

Zimmerman will be appearing in front of a judge this Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. E.T.
