From porn star to literary heroine, Amanda Seyfried can do it all.

Amanda Seyfried has already had an amazing career at 26, and she isn’t slowing down.

Amanda Seyfried made her big screen debut in 2004 as the ditzy Karen Smith in “Mean Girls”, starring alongside actresses Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan.  Since then, Amanda Seyfried has appeared on screen singing famous Abba numbers in the 2008 film production of “Mamma Mia!”, portrayed a not-so-traditional version of Red Riding Hood in the film by the same name, and jerked more than a couple of tears from movie-goers in “Dear John”.

In 2012 Amanda Seyfried is promising to give us another year of memorable performances.

“Gone” premiered this weekend, and while most critics agree that the title perfectly describes the plot, many have also agreed that Amanda Seyfried is the force that keeps “Gone” going.

Later this year Amanda Seyfried will portray the porn star Linda Lovelace. Lovelace is best known for her role in the 1970s adult film “Deep Throat”, and also for becoming an anti-pornography activist later in life, claiming that her husband had forced her into the porn industry.

Amanda Seyfried says there are no connections between her roles in “Gone” and “Lovelace”, but that it was “really fun stepping into someone’s shoes, especially if they existed in real life.”

“It’s completely different,” Amanda Seyfried told Buzzine.com, “I’ve never played a person who’s actually existed, and that can be really tough—trying to capture someone’s essence like that, and validate their story, and tell it in the way they would want you to tell it. It was such a whirlwind but the most rewarding experience of my life, for sure.”

Amanda Seyfried will star alongside James Franco and Sarah Jessica Parker in “Lovelace”, and movie-goers will get to hear her sing for the first time since her performance in “Mama Mia!”.

Later this year, the talented young actress will portray Cosette in the film production of Victor Hugo’s “Les Miserables”, which is currently in production.

With several blockbuster hits on her resume, we can expect that Amanda Seyfried will not disappoint us in her upcoming performances.
