No Doubt was last seen roughly five years ago. Since then, it’s been all Gwen Stefani. Her success as a solo artist didn’t keep her from telling her fans on a live instant message chat on their Web site that No Doubt will return in 2009.
Rollingstone.com reports that No Doubt will hit the road as well as record and release a new album in 2009. No Doubt will be working with Mike Stent on the new release. Stent worked on both Rock Steady and Stefani’s solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
Stefani is especially excited to start the new projects. “I think if we go out on tour it will inspire us to write,” Stefani says in the chat. “I need to see the fans out there,” reports Rollingstone.com.
