Hesitant groom starts hotel fire because he was already married

Japanese man already has a wife

Christina McGairk

A Japanese man decided to set a hotel on fire where he was supposed to be married during the weekend rather than going through the wedding ceremony later the same day.
According to the Yomiuri newspaper, Tatsuhiko Kawata, 39, had gone along with wedding plans despite already having a wife.

“I thought if I set a fire I wouldn’t have to go through with the wedding,” the Yomiuri quoted him as telling police.

No one was injured when the fire was set early Sunday morning at a resort hotel Yamanashi Prefecture, west of Tokyo. Kawata was arrested after abruptly canceling the event and acting suspiciously.

This guy may not be the best planner. The real question is how is he planning a wedding while already married?
