Steve Phillips scandal involves messy affair with Brooke Hundley

Hundley, 22-year-old production assistant wrote explicit letter to Phillips' wife, drove car into house

It’s another sex scandal for Steve Phillips and this one is completely out of hand.

Phillips is stuck in an affair with a “delusional” ESPN production assistant, Brooke Hundley, that resembles “Fatal Attraction.” Phillips admits to having three sexual encounters with the 22-year old Hundley while married, but says she became obsessive when Phillips tried to end their relationship. She became upset that he refused to see her and began harassing his family, calling his wife, Marni Phillips, and Facebook messaging his son.

According to his police statement, Phillips says Brooke Hundley pretended to be a high school student so she could get information out of Phillips’ son via Facebook and when Steve and his wife turned off their phones. Additionally, Hundley reportedly drove to his house to drop off an incriminating letter and smashed her car into a column at his house.

The letter is filled with details set to prove that she knew Phillips well, including details about birth marks on his body and saying things like “I’m not just some girl he has sex with in parking lots.”

Marni Phillips wife has filed for divorce, but the Phillips have not filed charges against Brooke Hundley. Steve Phillips was suspended from ESPN for a week as he deals with the situation.

“I have extreme concerns about the health and safety of my kids and myself,” Steve Phillips said in a police statement, adding that the woman became “obsessive” after he dumped her. Her Facebook messages to Phillips’ son became flirtatious in an effort to get information out of him.

“She asked inappropriate questions about my parents, such as: Do they sleep in the same bed? Do you think they will be getting a divorce? Do they fight a lot?” Phillips’ son said, according to the New York Post. They realized it was definitely Hundley at the house for sure when she sent a Facebook message detailing what Phillips’ wife had witnessed when Hundley drove her car through a column as she dropped off a personal letter.

According to the Post, “The bombshell developments come 11 years after Phillips took a brief leave of absence as the Mets’ GM after admitting to having sex with a team employee, Rosa Rodriguez, who sued him for sexual harassment, a case later settled out of court.”

Our Take

This is why you don’t dip your pen in the company ink. Seriously though, Phillips should have learned his lesson by now. He had been caught in affairs at work before and has to know it will never end well. Clearly this Hundley girl has a lot of severe issues of her own, but Phillips put his family in that position and now he’ll have to face the consequences.

Also, please don’t go looking up Brooke Hundley photos and Marni Phillip photos to see who is more attractive. Every time there’s an affair, people scramble for photos. Let them have their privacy.
