Dickinson State University students still missing

Authorities have been searching for missing students, members of Dickinson State's softball team

According to ABC News, three Dickinson State University students who went missing Sunday are still being searched for by North Dakotan authorities, who have reportedly little to go on except for two phone calls which included ”hysterical noises.”

The three women, members of the Dickinson State University softball team, the Blue Hawks, were last believed to be in a rural farming area at the time of their disappearance. According to North Dakotan police, the women made two phone calls to a friend asking for help. After the second call, the friend then contacted emergency services.

Two of the missing Dickinson students, Kyrstin Gemer and Ashley Neufeld, are seniors. The third, Afton Williamson, is a junior. Gamer is a senior business major with a minor in human resource management, while Neufeld is a psychology major with a minor in Mathematics. Williamson also majored in psychology while minoring in coaching, according to the Blue Hawks roster. Williamson reportedly transferred from Riverside Community College to DSU.

Gemer’s father, Lenny Gemar, shared with “Good Morning America” that police believe that the students were not victims of foul play, and that, the call “comes across as sounding more like an accident of some kind.”

Police have resumed their search for the students on Nov. 3rd.
