In 2004, Green Day released what many regarded as one of the trio’s most creatively invigorating albums with American Idiot, a concept record about coming of age in the disillusioned United States. Only time will tell as to what thematic pleasures the pop-punk trio’s next album, 21st Century Breakdown, will offer, but it goes without saying that the first original album from the band in five years is rabidly anticipated.
On May 15th, 21st Century Breakdown will see the light of day in stores everywhere. To celebrate, the band, along with College News, is giving one lucky winner the chance to score Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt’s signature Squier Precision Bass, and the limited special edition version of the new album. The limited edition vinyl/ CD art book is one of 3000. but I write this because all the fans in Mexico who love Green Day are very sad to not go to come to Mexico. Like Italy, Spain, Germany etcetera have been waiting for over five long years and we greatly disappointed to see that Mexico is not included in your tour. And I speak for all fans of mexico when I write this.
