The latest cycle of music contest, powered by Sonicbids, has come to a close and we’ve hand-picked three winners. We’d like to give a genuine thank you to all of the artists that submitted their music and encourage them to enter our next contest.

Chi Turner

Hailing from Vancouver, Chi Turner takes all of his influences and creates a style all his own. Turner's influence by Prince, D'Angelo and everyone in between, and those influences all serve him well. Turner's smooth vocals are soulful and have led him to work with artists like Incognito, Sadat X, John Robinson, Abstract-Rude, Mark de Clive Lowe, Killa Kella, Swollen Members and Ski Oakenful. With several albums under his belt and 10+ years experience in the industry, Chi Turner is definitely well on his way to success.

The Wiley One

Comprised of No. 7 Kid (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Jay of the Funk (bass, vocals), Mc Criterion (vocal turntables, percussion, vocals) and David L. Bedell (drums), The Wiley One combines acoustic, hip hop, reggae and blues into a fun, unique creation that, at times, evokes Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. Based in Arizona, the band formed in 2007 and have since been featured in ad campaigns, TV shows and pulications like Billboard. The Wiley One has also worked closely with environmental organizations.

Olivia O.

Olivia O. may only be a senior in college, but she has already made huge strides in her career. Based in NYC, Olivia is a singer-songwriter who cites Ani DiFranco, Laura Marling and Regina Spektor among her influences. In April 2011, Olivia's "My Loft" was selected for inclusion on the "Songs of Love for Japan" compilation album with also featured artists like Brandi Carlisle, Tori Amos and Sara Bareilles. Olivia also began Lover Records in October 2011. It's clear that Olivia is well on her way to joining the ranks of her influences.
