A native of St. Louis, Brandyn Burnette left his small hometown for the Big Apple when he received a full ride scholarship to NYU where he studied theatre.

During his early days as a student at NYU, Burnette quickly found his passion for music which led him to producing songs in his dorm room, a place where he eventually spent more time than he did in classrooms to improve and perfect his craft.

Torn between continuing his studies at NYU and pursuing music fulltime, Burnette decided to take a 6-month sabbatical in order to test the waters. During this time he met his manager who flew him overseas where he spent time writing and recording his first demos in Norway. As his sabbatical came to an end and he returned back to NYU, Burnette received a call that changed everything and so the couch surfing chronicles began.

A destined wordsmith, Burnette has spent time penning songs with today's top writers and producers such as Jon Bellion, Sean Douglas, Evan Bogart, Tom Meredith, Emmanuel "E-man" Kiriakou among others.

In 2013, Burnette co-wrote "Don't Say Goodnight" by Hot Chelle Rae and collaborated with pop duo MKTO on their debut album.

Burnette recently spent time in the studio with Jake Miller with whom he co-wrote "First Flight Home" and is currently anticipating the release of his EP, The Couch Surfing Chronicles
