Spelling Bee- youngest competitor ever, misspells

She blames stress and fatigue for lost

The Scripps National Spelling Bee had their youngest competitor in history, a six-years-old, misspell a word she knew how to spell. She says during the Nation Spelling Bee she became to tired and overloaded with stress to properly concentrate.

The youngest Spelling Bee competitor, Anne Madison from Virginia, miss spelled “ingluvies” incorrectly during Wednesday’s prelims. If she had spelled it correctly, she would have earned a qualifying score. She was shy by only four points.

She said her nearly two-hour wait to spell “seemed like two millennia.”

The first National Spelling Bee originated in 1925 organized by The Courier-Journal in Louisville.

The winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee receives $30,000 dollars in cash an engraved trophy, a reference library from Merriam-Webster, a $2,500 savings bond, a Nook eReader and a lifetime subscription to the online version of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is currently in its 85th year.

Facebook Camera lands in the app store

Number one free download

Facebook Camera app is the number one free download in the app marketplace today. The Facebook Camera app was released just on the heels of Facebook purchasing Instagram, a similar photo application, roughly a month ago for nearly a billion dollars.

The Facebook Camera app was developed independently from the Facebook team in Menlo Park, C.A., and the app is designed to work solely for iOS. The new Facebook camera app allow users to, what many have said has been missing, snap a photo, apply filters and upload numbers photos to your walls timeline.

“When you launch the app, you’ll see a feed of just great photos from the people you care about,” Facebook reps wrote in a press release. “You can swipe to see more of any album or tap to enlarge an individual photo.”

The Facebook Camera app in its description claims, “With Camera, you can share photos on Facebook faster than ever, and see what friends are up to in a feed of nothing but their photos.”  The app currently has a three-and-half star rating out of 435 reviews.

Though, the release of the Facebook Camera app has many wondering why the social media giant purchased Instagram in the first place. Sam Biddle of Gizmodo suggests, “Camera takes the best parts of Instagram and mainlines it directly into the social network everyone has been using and will continue to use, making sharing feel almost lazy it’s so easy.”

Biddle added:

“Instagram has been terrific because it’s a one stop shop for your friends’ shots—all the images without any of the social network noise. Facebook Camera now does pretty much the same thing, siphoning off all of the uploads that would appear on your News Feed and sticking them into an app, while giving you the opportunity to throw your own shots into the mix.”

Also, one has to venture the guess if the recent release of the Facebook Camera app has anything to do with Facebook’s rapidly dropping IPO. The stock originally opened at $45, but it now sits at a sad $31.40 at 2:16 p.m. , not to mention the company is in a lawsuit over the original IPO.

Whatever the reason may be for the release of the Facebook Camera app, one thing is sure- your girlfriend now has a new and faster way to upload all of the photos she takes of her and her girlfriends out on the town.

Bill Clinton and pornstars … who’s really shocked

Former Pres. Ignores Secret Service

Bill Clinton was photographed with pornstars Brooklyn Lee and Tasha Reign at a posh event in Monaco Monday Clinton and the adult stars were at the fund-raiser to support the William J. Clinton Foundation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

Brooklyn Lee claims that she saw Bill Clinton keeping a close eye on her table, and of course, good old Billy wanted to meet them. But, hoping to avoid negative attention, the Secret Service attempted to play defense to the meet and greet.

“The Secret Service guy wasn’t having it, but then (Clinton) let us come over,” Lee told TMZ.

Clinton, being always social, waved off their concerns and allowed the two pornstars and a third women to snap a quick photo with him.

TMZ reports that Lee had very few words with Bill Clinton, saying. “I just said he was a great President,” she told TMZ.

In response, Lee says, “[Bill Clinton] just kind of winked and smiled and gave us hugs.”

The two starlets were there as guests of Marc Bell, whom is the CEO of the company that owns Penthouse magazine.

Ironically, one of the adult starts was sporting a shoulder-less blue dress. Let’s hope Bubba kept it PG after the party.

Steven Tyler not happy with Mick Jagger’s impression

SNL skit got it wrong

Steven Tyler isn’t laughing at Mick Jagger’s impression of him on this past weekend’s SNL. Steven Tyler thinks the Rolling Stones front man got it all wrong.

In the skit, titled So You Think You Can Dance At An Outdoor Music Festival, Jagger spoofs the American Idol judge. He adorned a long curly wig, Tyler’s signature scarf’s and duster.

Jagger wines, “That dance was awesome. Almost as awesome as Burger Kings new crispy chicken strips.

The pseudo Steven Tyler then declares, “Chicken strips are tasty,” and tosses the box in his hand.

While many thought the skit was down right hilarious, Tyler wasn’t impressed was one bit.

Steven Tyler was disappointed Jagger didn’t attempt Tyler’s well-known yelp, telling Hollywood Life, “Ohhh, [Mick] got it so wrong […] He could have done the, ‘Yeah yeah yeah!’”

Tyler did remark that he thought the skit was “fun,” which is rather a cryptic remark, given that Tyler didn’t elaborate on it. However, Steven Tyler was fine with Mick Jagger sporting long hair again.

“I thought he looked good with long hair,” said Tyler. “I’ve always wanted him to grow it back.”

SNL is known for their ribbing of celebs ranging from the President to the Octomom. Perhaps, Steven Tyler needs to calm down a bit. Most would be honored to be parodied on the infamous late night show.

Check out the clip below. We apologize in advance for the poor quality.

Anchorman 2 trailers are here

double the laughs

Anchorman 2 isn’t slated to hit theaters until sometime in 2013, but two trailers for Anchorman 2 have premiered on Will Ferrell’s website Funny or Die, Featuring San Diego’s top newsmen.

With no current script written, there isn’t any real footage of Anchorman 2. Instead, the two trailers features Will Ferrell, David Koechner, Pull Rudd and Steve Carell doing what they do best and spouting off the most utterly random comments.

The clips open with a voice over stating, “In the age when the dinosaurs’ roar greeted the dawn, and apes rode the winged horse across the valley of Eli, there was a lone stranger who offered comfort, wisdom and overly sexual neck massages. It was said he would one day return. That day has come.”

Neither of the trailers offer up much of a hint to the plot of Anchorman 2, but the man who loves, scotch, scotch, scotch will surely not disappoint.

One thing we know we can look forward to in Anchorman 2 is that, “There’s going to be submachine guns and boobies,” according to David Koechner’s Champ Kind, “Whammy!”

“Look, it’s… it’s gonna be a fun movie,” Ron Burgundy promises

“It’s jean creaming time … aint’t this an old-fashion shot to the nut sack!”

Anchorman 2 kicks-off filming in February.

Checkout both trailers below, just try not and spend your entire day watching them.

Noisy kid in theater hit by man

Suffers bloody nose and missing tooth

A noisy kid in a theater was punched by a 21-year-old man in a Washington state AMC movie theater on April 11.  Yong Hyun Kim, struck the young by during a 3D showing of the movie Titanic, reports the Associated Press.

Kim apparently asked the noisy boy to stop talking, running up and down the aisles and throwing popcorn at him and his girlfriend. The boy then laughed in his face.

At one point Yong stepped over the seats and confronted the subjects behind him,” the police report says. “Yong said he was talking to the subjects when they started laughing at him. Yong said he became so angry and swung his arm at one of the subjects and hit in the face.”

Kim spent the night in Kent City jail but was released the next day. He was charged on May 16 for hitting the noisy kid in the theater, whom lost a tooth and suffered a bloody nose due to the incident.

If Kim is found guilty of the second-degree assault charge, he could possibly face anywhere from three to nine months in jail.

“We strongly encourage guests to be respectful of their fellow moviegoers, and to report any disturbance to an AMC associate, so that we may handle it directly,” AMC Theatres spokesman Ryan Noonan said in a statement. “The safety and security of our guests and associates is important to us, and we want everyone to enjoy the moviegoing experience.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter gets eighty-sixed

America’s favorite bounty hunter cancelled

The reality show followed Dog the Bounty Hunter, Duane Chapman, Beth, his wife and Dog’s children Duane Lee and Lyssa, hunting down fugitives in Hawaii and Colorado.

TMZ broke the story stating that Dog the Bounty Hunter and A&E were having “creative differences” negotiating the ninth season.

Dog the Bounty Hunter captured America’s attention with his honesty and compassion for the fugitives he and his family chased. Each episode ended with Dog having a hear to heart talk with his most recent captured fugitive, telling the individual that things would be okay if they took more control of their life.

The series also focused on the Chapman’s family problems, dealing with tumults relationships and drug problems.

Dog the Bounty Hunter was previously put on hiatus back in 2007 when an audio tape featuring Dog repeatedly using the word “N-word” in an argument with his son Tucker over Tucker’s black girlfriend. Tucker then sold the tape to the National Enquirer.

Dog the Bounty Hunter was first aired back in 2004 after Chapman was featured on a show Take this Job.

Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne also let his vocals to the shows opening credits. The remaining episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter are slated to air sometime in June.

Anchorman 2 trailer leaked online

Get ready for the news San Diego

An Anchorman 2 trailer has been leaked, and the fifty-three second clip is funnier than most films in their entirety. The clip features San Diego’s finest newsmen, spouting off the most random, nonsensical phrases.

While the filming of Anchorman 2 has yet to begin, given that it was just recently announced, it’s clear from the trailer that it will be on par with the first. The synergy between Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner is phenomenal.

The Anchorman 2 trailer opens with a voice over stating, “In the age when the dinosaurs’ roar greeted the dawn and apes rode the winged horse across the valley of Eli, there was a lone stranger who offered comfort, wisdom and overly sexual neck massages. It was said he would one day return. That day has come.”

Ferrell, or should we say Ron Burgundy then leads in asking, “Hey America did you miss my hot breath in your ear?”

We think it’s easy to say that we have.

Burgundy closes out that clip, declaring, “It’s time to do it again, but this time … I’m on top.”

Anchorman 2 is set to hit theaters in 2013, but an exact date has yet to be set.  Though, if it’s anything like Sex Panther cologne, 60% of the time, it works every time.
